Bigcommerce Eases Shipping Management and Fraud Detection
Bigcommerce is helping to improve operational efficiencies and lower costs for its Enterprise users before the 2015 holiday season kicks off.
To do so, the company has unveiled new integrations with shipping rate management tool ShipperHQ and fraud detection prevention tool Sift Science. The integrations are currently available to select Bigcommerce Enterprise merchants in limited beta, with general availability planned for later this year. It is worth noting that since Bigcommerce Enterprise launched in May 2015, the platform has been adopted by hundreds of businesses, including mid-market retailers like Berkley Water, Martha Stewart Café and MetroPCS.
The Bigcommerce-ShipperHQ integration is built in partnership with WebShopApps and enables merchants to manage and configure shipping rates and rules for multiple carriers through a single interface. With the integration, retailers can deliver accurate, real-time shipping quotes for a wide range of product types and fulfillment scenarios. This helps to reduce the number of abandoned carts caused by unexpected shipping costs. Other tools and capabilities that the integration offers is customizable rate management, enterprise-grade logistics, as well as centralized shipping analytics and tracing.
Bigcommerce’s integration with Sift Science, on the other hand, helps merchants avoid chargebacks by identifying who to block and who to approve before an order is processed. What’s more, the integration offers real-time protection which helps to improve efficiency and reduce risk. Plus, the integration leverages Sift Science’s scoring system that rates suspicious activity by using more than 5,000 fraud signals, which enables retailers to only investigate orders with the highest likelihood of fraud.
“Bigcommerce has now seamlessly integrated with the web’s leading solutions for advanced shipping rate management and fraud prevention,” said Brent Bellm, Bigcommerce CEO. “These advanced tools enable our fast-growing merchants to manage complexity, reduce cost and scale their operations efficiently.”
