Bing Boards Beautify the Search Results
Google may still be receiving well over 60 percent of natural search traffic, but Bing certainly is not sitting idly by, twiddling its digital thumbs. It too is engaging in efforts to makes it search results more appealing to end users in the hopes of capturing even a few points away from the leader in Web search.
Bing recently introduced (not publicly available yet) Bing Boards – visual collections of images, videos and links that “tell a story from a unique point of view.” Bing is currently working with a small group of food and lifestyle bloggers, experts and social influencers, people who are both knowledgeable and passionate about the topics they publish or communicate on the web.
While it may not be the feature that drives Google users to the waiting arms of Bing, it is the kind of social/community experiment that could keep consumers coming back. Check out how Bing Boards are appearing now on the Bing results pages by searching for “photo booth backup.”
