Bing Gets Social with New Ad Extensions
Google doesn't have a corner on cool ad extensions any longer.
Bing is reportedly now testing Social Extensions to help brands promote their social channels.
“Businesses today spend a lot of time and resources to engage customers on social media and use paid search to drive traffic. Bing Ads team believes it’s time to build a bridge between two,” says Aurea Astro, program manager for Bing Ads Platform in a blog post announcing the beta.
Just like other types of sitelinks, the new Social Extensions will appear under the ad copy of text ads. The icons for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr will appear next to each link and can even include a hashtag.
