Bing Introduces New Campaign Type for Merchants, Shoppers
With the popularity of Google Shopping campaigns, it’s no surprise that others are trying to emulate its success.
Currently in beta, Bing Shopping Campaigns delivers additional control of Product Ads, easier campaign management, deep analytics as well as the ability to import shopping campaigns from Google AdWords. Through Shopping Campaigns advertisers have the ability to view their catalog data within the campaign interface in order to make more informed bidding selections, view benchmark data and even manage their data at scale using APIs.
At the moment, in order to use Bing Shopping Campaigns advertisers must have an assigned Account Manager. For those that do not, Bing states that they are planning to make Shopping Campaigns available to the rest of its users by summer.
“The Bing Ads team has been continuously working to improve your Product Ads experience,” states the Bing Ads blog post announcing the new campaign type. “Bing Shopping Campaigns are an optimal way to organize, track, and optimize your Product Ads directly in Bing Ads Today, we are excited to announce that we will be enabling Shopping Campaigns on Bing Ads for a limited number of advertisers, and extending to all advertisers over the coming months.”
