Boost Engagement & Improve Retention with Rewards

Posted on 9.27.2015

If your enterprise needs to boost engagement and improve retention, it is neccessary to reward users. Fortunately, there are some standout vendors to help you along the way and plenty of proof that the approach/strategy works.

Mobile reward platform Perk.com, for example, has announced that in its first month of using Appsaholic Rewards SDK, GrandPrizeNetwork's app Prize Wheel experienced an increase of over 330 percent in app retention and user engagement for customers claiming Perk Points as compared to non-rewards users. What's more, 57 percent of Perk users visited the app more than 10 times per month, compared to 20 percent for non-rewarded users. That increase in engagement and retention should not be ignored.

“Thousands of apps are published daily and as app developers, we are constantly faced with the challenges of finding new ways to engage and retain customers," said Jerald Stuart, Chief Executive Officer of GrandPrizeNetwork. "In our first month of using Appsaholic, Prize Wheel’s user engagement, retention and revenues have increased as a result. Reward systems are a great mechanism and Appsaholic is a fully managed solution to these challenges faced by the industry today.”

Perk.com is most certainly growing in interest and seems to be growing rapidly. The company announced the acquistion of AppRedeem (an advertising platform for mobile app discovery, branding and monetization) just last week. AppRedeem’s mobile application, AppTrailers allows AppRedeem members to receive points for watching trailers of the latest apps as well as popular videos. Members are then able to redeem points using Appredeem’s “Real Rewards” system in exchange for gift cards or cash.
