Bringing Privacy Back to the Internet

Posted on 4.08.2015

Consumers have never been more aware of the prying eyes that follow them on the Internet and more and more they are demanding solutions and platforms that keep those prying eyes out.

Cocoon, a provider of secure Web browsing solutions for desktops and mobile, has announced the launch of CocoonShopping, a new private online shopping network.

The new shopping network helps to protect consumers in various ways including blocking auto installations and delivering custom passwords through the platforms built in password randomizer, which are saved internally. However, perhaps most importantly, Cocoon blocks users IP address. Instead of displaying users true IP address Cocoon masks it with a remote Cocoon IP address, keeping user’s information confidential.

"Why do consumers need to expose their personal credit card information, passwords, IP addresses and more to servers that are continually hacked?" asked Jeff Bermant, CEO of Virtual World Computing. "Cocoon Shopping provides a way for consumers to remotely secure their personal information, keeping location, passwords, and shopping information safe and secure - all while maintaining the highest level of privacy from any potential prying eyes."
