Build a Calendar with Monthly.js

Posted on 1.13.2016

Is your website a destination? Chances are that it's not, but with the addition of a few interesting and interactive features, it most certainly could be.

One way to do that would be to integrate a calendar on your website. While it's a commitment to continually update it with information on a regular basis, if you can find the right balance of useful content and successfully promote it, over time repeat visitors will become the norm and you'll be presented with a host of opportunities to monetize those users.

So what solutions are available to help you build a calendar? Some CMS systems have modules, extensions and plugins, but we came across a rather interesting jQuery plugin that can most definitely get the job done by the looks of it.

Monthly.js is a jQuery based responsive calendar plugin with loads of features, including a date picker, event labels, an event list detail mode and more. The plugin even handles multiple instances on the same page.
