Can Google Beat Pinterest?

Posted on 12.08.2015

The days of popular social pinboard Pinterest may be numbered.

Google introduced a new feature on its search engine that provides users with a way to save images they find to collections which they can access at a future time.

The feature is currently only available to mobile users in the U.S. across all major browsers on iOS and Android.

Whether Google can beat Pinterest in the image (and inspiration) collection business is anyone's guess but thanks to its relatively new focus on "collections" and updates Google+ platform, it certainly presents somewhat of a threat. As a social media maven, what do you think of the new image save feature? Is it enough to unseat Pinterest?
