Twitter is taking its users on a trip down memory lane via its new "Tweet tool" as a way to celebrate its 8th birthday.

The tool allows users to discover the first tweet of any Twitter handle, which is a fun way to see how the social community has evolved over the years. Many first tweets of the Web's top brands include some kind of welcoming message, while others are promotional or light-hearted in nature.
