Checkout for the Noncommittal - Net Briefs

Posted on 12.31.2012

Those using Dwolla’s “digital cash” servicewithin their e-commerce stores can now tie down customers who are afraid to commit. A new guest checkout feature allows non-Dwolla users to make purchases on Dwollapowered websites without signing up for the service. However, unlike most e-commerce payment services, rather than entering in credit/debit card information, users will instead use their bank account and routing number, as well as their name, address and phone numbers. For merchants, guest checkout typically results in lower cart abandonment rates.
