Commerce Guys Receive $7.3M Funding for Platform.sh
Open source e-commerce vendor Commerce Guys, creators of Drupal Commerce, announced it closed a $7.3 million round in Series B funding recently to accelerate the launch of Platform.sh, the cloud development and hosting solution produced by Commerce Guys. The funding round was led by VC company Hi Inov, who joins other firms including ISAI, Alven Capital and Open Ocean Captial
Nearly 38,000 sites (including such prestigious brands as Cartier, NBC Universal, Stanford University and others) have developed with Drupal Commerce in the short two and a half years since its initial release. The company believes that Platform.sh fits neatly into this framework. This second-generation Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offers Web application developers the opportunity to implement Continuous Delivery in an environment that is economical, efficient and secure. Initial results from integrators indicate increased productivity, saving up to 25 percent time spent on a Web project.
