Connecting Search Console to Google's Data Studio
Google announced a new Data Studio connector for Search Console that will be well received by the search marketing community.
The connector/tool will enable users to pull their data into Data Studio and build reports that include impressions, clicks, and average position broken out by keyword, date, country, and device.
Users of Search Console will now be able to build reports that show how their search traffic changes over time, where traffic is coming from, and which queries are responsible for driving traffic to their sites. Users can even filter report for mobile traffic and analyze click through rates for various organic search terms.
Google also announced this week that it is removing the five report limit in its Data Studio offering, enabling users to create and share as many reports as their digital hearts desire (and for free). Google introduced/launched both a free and enterprise version of its dashboarding and reporting tool last year, and over the last 9 months has continued to release product improvements with templates and new data connectors.
