Crowdsourced Shopping Site "The Hunt" In Focus

Crowdsourced shopping website The Hunt, which boasts several celebrity investors including Tyra Banks and Ashton Kutcher, has raised $10 million in funding from Khosla Ventures and Javeline Ventures. 

The Hunt, a community-driven shopping site, lets consumers find and purchase items inspired by photos they encounter on social networks. The site allows users to post “hunts” or pictures of unidentified clothing items and other community members help identify the exact product or to provide suggestions for similar ones (The Hunt generates revenue through affiliate relationships). 

The company currently has 500,000 monthly active users (MAU) and 100,000 daily active users (DAU) on mobile. Users are spending nine minutes per session on The Hunt and more than 2 million Hunts are started and followed per week.
