Cyclone Chapala; A Year's Worth of Rain in One Day

The first hurricane-strength storm to land upon the shores of Yemen sine 1945, brought with it heavy winds, rain and flooding.

Winds reached 120mph on Monday, equivalent to a Category 3 hurricane according to reports. Cyclone Chapala is the second-strongest cyclone on record in the Arabian Sea.

Forecasters believe the storm will weaken before it makes landfall, but could wreak mayhem on the region.
