Defeating Video Ad Blockers
Brightcove is helping marketers defeat ad blockers with its ad optimization solution, dubbed Brightcove Lift.
Brightcove Lift combines server-side ad insertion (SSAI) with the company's HTML5 player management service to defeat ad blockers while delivering TV-like ad experiences for viewers, client-side interactivity and integration with reporting and analytics providers.
To defeat ad blockers, Brightcove stitches ads into content streams in the cloud. With the solution, media companies have seen video ads deliver per video start increase by as much as 50 percent, which shows the solution's ability to mitigate ad blocker technology. What’s more, the solution can work with a user’s preferred ad server and works with mid-roll ads. Brigthcove Lift also maintains client-side interactivity, which enables publishers to deliver interactive features like scrubber blocking, mid-roll ad break enforcement, click-through tracking and companion ad.
