Deliver Personalized Emails at the Right Time

Posted on 9.22.2015

A new automated predictive email marketing solution for retailers has hit the market, and it goes by the name of Rare.io.

Instead of sending every customer that has ever made a purchase identical email messages, Rare.io helps retailers deliver personalized messages based on the details of customers’ purchase history.

“Anyone who's ever purchased anything online knows the relentless spam that’s certain to follow,” said Rob Lane, CEO of Rare.io. “Our predictive email solution is fundamentally changing this practice by creating interesting and timely follow-up emails. Since we quietly launched in February, we’ve sent over 17 million emails that are directly attributable for $2.3 million in incremental revenue for the stores. Why settle for poor click-through rates when you can use your stores transactions to make email relevant to the reader on any device they use?”

With Rare.io, small and mid-sized e-commerce retailers are able to use the same predictability power as their larger counterparts. This is because the solution’s algorithm analyzes historical data by looking into customer purchase behavior, which includes items purchased and the time of purchase. This technology not only provides retailers with a tailored recommendation list, but also automatically sends messages to customers at the time they’re most likely to open the email and make a purchase. Plus, the prediction engine is able to forecast which customers are at risk of churning and can automatically take preventative action.

It is important to note that retailers leveraging the Shopify or Spree platforms can easily implement Rare.io and create custom email designs for their customers via drag-and-drop technology. That said, more e-commerce platform integrations are expected to be added in the coming months.
