Desktops Get a Makeover (Of the iPad Variety)

Posted on 12.11.2012

Every once in a while software comes along that disrupts the user exeperience - in a good way. E-Scape the Internet falls under this innovative umbrella, as it helps website designers create an infinite, interactive website map to give end-users a “hands-on iPad experience” even on a PC or MAC.

“iPads have proven to be great when it comes to cool navigation and interactivity, but website designs — even on iPads, are still stuck in the 90s,” said E-Scape the Internet Founder Stephen Redden. “Websites today are unimaginative and have very little interactivity; not keeping up with the new market trends. Most websites are newsletter style or templates with up and down scrolling and heavy text sites.”

Part of the E-Scape experience is the innovative use of navigational elements. Users trek through E-Scape sites with hyper-links, jumplinks, slide-links, hidden-links, floating navigation compass, border activated navigation, invisible scrolling, and a growing list navigation controls in development.

“In the near future the access point to all information, entertainment, music, art, reading, practically everything will be through the Internet,” said Redden. “That is why we are prepared to deliver software like E-Scape™ to keep up with the demand for interactivity, the expansive interverse™ (internet universe), and the navigation solutions to travel the Internet.”

A look at E-Scape sample sites definitely shows innovation in work. Some of the clients, however, don’t use all the software’s bells and whistles and present a more traditional website, but with a few surprise elements, such as dynamic animated effects or a slideshow presentation (as seen below).

It is important to note that these elements are flash compatible, but not flash. The software is also SEO friendly and compatible with all scripting (Java, HTML, HTML-5, PHP, CSS, etc.).

The software is available as a single license at a $19.95/per month or $200/per year pricepoint.
