Developers! Crowdfunding Campaigns Need You

Posted on 10.29.2014

Working on projects they are passionate about is something many designers and developers seek, but where do those opportunities come from?

Founded this year, Weadeo is a platform that connects “Ideamakers” (or entrepreneurs) with creative professionals and enables them to enhance their crowdfunding campaigns with video. The idea is that aspiring entrepreneurs are low on cash but the “Creatives” still need to get paid. Weadeo offers the unique opportunity for everybody involved to share the risk but also share the success of a great campaign. Either the Creatives take a small upfront fee and a percentage of the money raised in the campaign or they opt for no cash upfront but a bigger piece of the pie, when the campaign is successful.

“Weadeo is closing a huge gap for entrepreneurs and offers a fantastic opportunity for the creative,” said Lars Buch, managing director of Startup Bootcamp

Additionally, Creatives are able to build their project portfolio, market themselves to a new/boarder market and, of course, work on projects they are passionate about.

Further, Weadeo supports Ideamakers  every step of the way toward an attention-grabbing video and a successful campaign. While videos aren't a requirement to start a crowdfunding campaign, Weadeo reports that campaigns with videos connect with the audience instantly, have significantly higher success rates and raise more money. Many entrepreneurs hesitate to make a video because they don't have the expertise or don't have the money to hire a professional, which is where Weadeo is staking its claim.

Weadeo is currently running its own Kickstarter campaign
