Email Inspiration & Digital Showcase

Of all the different digital marketing channels, email is often considered one of the best (if not the best). That's not to say that the email marketing channel doesn't have its challenges; it does and they are, as one might assume, significant.

Issues with deliverability and privacy, concerns with sending frequency and list exhaustion, not to mention personalization and targeting challenges, could be reason enough for enterprises not to engage more fully in the practice. If there's a genuine and useful reason to contact your audience list, however, and senders (marketers) do so in a way that is appealing, the response can be absolutely phenomenal - as well as less expensive and provide more immediate results. That's why brands keep hitting send - it works.
Delivering a great email experience in many ways rests on the design quality of the email template (not to mention the design of individual elements within it). Email design is an art and science in itself, but development is not easy, and neither is finding inspiration - unless you know where to look.
Email marketing database service FreshAddress recently announced the release of a tool that helps marketers create more effective campaign emails. The new Email Creative Archive (ECA) provides the ability to search and review more than 1 million campaign emails from over 9,000 brands. It's arguably the perfect tool for finding inspiration for email initiatives, discovering innovative design elements and providing an opportunity to see what other companies are up to as well.
The ECA enables marketers and designers to search the database on elements such as sending company, subject line, content and even the send date. Rather than just static screenshots, however, each creative shown in the ECA is interactive, viewable with and without images in mobile or standard view and even includes the full HTML source code.

Spend a few minutes within the system and there is almost no way you won't be inspired in some way or another - from the structure of emails to the calls to action being used by competitors. Website Magazine pulled out one of our favorites (from Kraft Foods)  just to provide an idea of what's available within the ECA. Take a look and let the Website Magazine community know what you think is  good or not within the image below.
