Do You Have the Best Website? Prove It.

The Web Marketing Association has announced the call for entries for its 22nd annual international WebAward competition.

If you think you might just have the best website, this is an excellent opportunity to prove it and earn some recognition for your efforts at the same time.

A “Best of Industry” WebAward will be given in each of the 96 industry categories, including financial services, medical, small business, travel, advertising, transportation and government.

The competition’s highest honor, however, the 2018 WebAward “Best of Show,” will be given to the one website that the judges believe represents the pinnacle of outstanding achievement in Web development. Last year’s Best of Show winner was [D³] Digital Design + Development, Hilton for their outstanding work on Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills - At The Center of Extraordinary. The site was also recognized as Best Hotel and Lodging Website.

The Web Marketing Association will also recognize the interactive agency winning the most awards in the competition with the “Top Interactive Agency” WebAward. Scorpion was named Top Agency at the 2017 WebAward Competition, taking home an incredible 38 WebAwards in 2016. The Top Agency Award is given to recognize the consistently outstanding development going on at interactive firms.

Website Magazine is a proud sponsor of the WebAward and encourages all of our readers to submit their site for consideration. Not only are we confident you’ll have a good chance of winning (because you’re familiar with all the necessary best practices required to build an award-worthy digital presence) but because the feedback you’ll receive from the judges (some of whom include top executives from organizations like Universal McCann, SapientNitro, PayPal, Razorfish, Saatchi & Saatchi, SAP, and others) is likely to prove invaluable to your future success.

“Excellence deserves recognition and the WebAwards look into all aspects of website development, It’s not just a beauty contest for Websites,” said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association. “Our expert judges evaluate the entire interactive experience and reward those sites that are best in their industry. The goal of the WebAwards is to both recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective Web sites on the Internet today and also provide valuable feedback to entrants on how their sites stack up against their peers and their industry’s standards of excellence.”
