Do You Really Need a Branded App?

Posted on 1.03.2017

Most mobile applications aren't downloaded more than a handful of times, and for those that are, they rarely receive more than a few opens in their virtual lifespan.

This very real problem, however, has not done anything to lessen the enthusiasm of those offering platforms to build mobile apps.

Local search technology company Advice Local, for example, recently announced the launch of Advice Mobile, a new tool that will allow businesses to create custom branded mobile apps quickly, which can then be submitted immediately to both the iOS App Store and Google Play.

The company's partners can also use Advice Mobile’s white-labeled tools to create, demo, and manage branded mobile apps for their own customers. The dashboard makes it possible to update app content, adjust designs and colors, and drag-and-drop app features. Available features include unlimited rich push notifications, real-time editing, photo galleries, and access to data analytics.

“With consumers spending 90% of their smartphone screen-time in mobile apps, businesses need branded apps to stay competitive in today’s mobile-first economy,” said Bernadette Coleman, Advice Local CEO. “Advice Mobile makes it possible for anyone to design and build an app of their own. Now our clients and their customers can get all the benefits of a custom mobile app without the hassle or cost typically associated with app development.”

The question remains however - do enterprises really need a branded application? Is it worth the investment and the effort? Share your thoughts with a comment below now.
