Documentation in Disrepair: Sodocan to the Rescue!

Posted on 11.11.2015

The documentation available for most libraries and frameworks is somewhat confusing at best, and can be downright frustrating at its worst.

Creating useful documentation is difficult for developers, but there is at least one solution out there that aims provide some relief.

Sodocan.js auto-generates an attractive and organized page from source code (hosted on your local machine or within a Github repo) and comments. Taking a crowd-sourced approach, the Sodocan developer community can then add helpful explanations and even vote on entries. The result, over time, is a document that reflects the needs of users.

Developers can also customize the look of their documentation using Sodocan's BluePrints templating system; essentially drop-in sites for use with the server or a static site generator.
