Does GoDaddy's New Offering Appeal to WordPress Designers, Developers?

Design and development agencies are always seeking a better (more efficient) way of managing their clients digital properties and all that goes along with it; anything that can help eliminate often frustrating administrative work and streamlining operations in the process is going to be welcome.

For design agencies and developers whose platform of choice is the WordPress system, GoDaddy is hoping its new solution provides the infrastructure and suite of services required for their success.

The domain registrar and hosting provider announced the launch of Pro Managed WordPress, a new hosting platform designed specifically for WordPress web professionals (such as those web design and web development agencies).

The offering bundles WordPress-centric hosting, with end-to-end security (from Sucuri), and other features (such as free SSL) and services useful/necessary in managing multiple clients and websites. For example, the solution also includes access to the GoDaddy Pro Program, a set of rewards and tools for Web professionals including round-the-clock customer support, education content, and yes, discounts.

"Web pros tell us that the most frustrating and time consuming part of their job is the administrative work, and that they struggle to juggle all of their clients' websites," said Gabe Mays, Product Manager of WordPress at GoDaddy. "Pro Managed WordPress streamlines client site maintenance and allows these developers and designers to build and manage safe and reliable sites for their clients, all through one central solution."

GoDaddy first began offering a WordPress hosting product three years ago, and today the company is the largest WordPress host globally, serving over four million sites.
