E-Commerce Sites Looking to Build Upon Holiday Success
With e-commerce sites coming off a high note during the holiday season of 2014, many are looking for ways to continue to build upon their holiday success.
Bitcoin Shop, a digital marketplace, has announced the addition of new features to its beta e-commerce platform.
Among the new features, Bitcoin Shop added layered navigation to help decrease the amount of time that consumers spend looking for individual products. For those who do not know, layered navigation allows the consumer to narrow down the products that are displayed to them through selecting specific categories. For example, if a consumer only wants to see products that are under $20 they can select the “Under $20” category.
Other enhancements to Bitcoin Shop include curated product offerings based on popularity and availability as well as the introduction of new retailers bringing the total amount of supported retailers from 85 to 256.
"Now that we've opened our Beta site, we're getting feedback on the right product mix,” said Charles Allen, CEO of Bitcoin Shop. “We've reduced our offerings to just over a quarter million curated products to enhance efficiency and provide an improved shopping experience. We plan to grow our product offerings in the future by applying what we're learning to our Intelligent Shopping Engine."
