Early Look: Keyword Revenue Forecasting Tool

Developing effective SEO and content marketing strategies is a pipe dream for many professionals who lack the knowledge and tools needed to convert keywords into potential revenue.

In the last couple months, however, ZOG Digital has been busy developing a new free keyword research tool that marketers might be particularly interested in because it will allow them to forecast Web traffic and revenue from organic keywords used in search.

ZOG Digital indicates that three important predictions over the next year are calculated with the Keyword Revenue Forecasting Tool: Traffic Opportunities, Paid Search Traffic Value and Revenue Opportunities.

With this information, according to ZOG Digital, developing obtainable, clear and measurable project expectations early in the project planning process will lead to greater success. Converting these expectations into milestones and communicating about progress toward them is crucial for effective project management and campaign success. 

ZOG Digital tells Website Magazine that this keyword-forecasting tool will also provide projections of traffic share for the next 12 months alongside competitor projections. The software takes information such as current keyword rankings, expected keyword improvement and industry keyword positioning to calculate the value of a query. 

With future-tense context provided by this tool, marketers can convert their keyword research into potential revenue. With that kind of information, keywords can be prioritized based on expected performance in future search campaigns with less room for error.
