Easing the Process of Mobile Payments

As mobile technology continues to further infiltrate the e-commerce market, brands must be sure that they are enabling consumers to purchase items while on their mobile devices.

Unlike on desktops, were typing billing and shipping information is relatively easy, mobile creates a problem for e-commerce consumers and brands alike due to the difficulty and nuisance of typing and entering payment information on mobile devices. To help make matters easier, there are a variety of mobile payment solutions that brands can leverage.

Between in-store and online solutions, brands have a variety of ways to help consumers purchase products and services from their mobile devices. Currently, one of the hottest trends in mobile payment is “one-touch” solutions. Through these solutions, like Apple Pay and PayPal, users are able to pay for services and products from within apps without having to enter their payment information for each purchase. There are a variety of solutions available that leverage one-touch payment methods including Google Wallet, PayPal, Apple Pay and Mastercard’s MasterPass.

While one-touch solutions offer the simplest fix to the problems that plague mobile payments, there are a variety of other solutions on the market that also help to spur mobile purchases including Stripe and Payfone.
