eBay Retools Seller Ratings

Posted on 9.12.2015

eBay sellers received some positive news at the company's Seller Summit last week.

Internet-based retailers who sell on the marketplace will no longer be penalized in their ratings for returns and exchanges, or for late shipments that have been determined to be outside of their control .

The new rules are expected to take effect in February of 2016.

Under a new set of metrics, eBay will base sellers ratings on delivery time and service, as illustrated by the volume of seller-canceled transactions for outof stock items that can't be fulfilled and for cases that are closed without seller resolution.
