E-Commerce Analytics Provider Receives Sizable Investment

Posted on 8.19.2014

Analytics role in today's business evironment is continuously increasing.

With the market expected to more than double by 2019, it’s no surprise that analytics providers are receiving sizable investments in their companies.

Vantage Analytics has announced the reception of $1.1 million in funding led by Montreal based venture capital firm Real Ventures.

Vantage Analytics was founded in 2013 with the goal of helping e-commerce businesses without analysts to process and understand the data they continuously produce (e.g. gross profit, conversion rates, etc.). The young company is part of the Shopify Plus partner program in which they enable merchants using Shopify’s ecommerce solution to view analytics based on data from their stores.

“We are helping thousands of merchants from over 60 countries to turn their data into insight, and insight into action. Our expert recommendations are based on millions of customer records and hundreds of millions of dollars of transactions,” said Aran Hamilton, president and co-founder of Vantage Analytics on the company’s official blog.

“With this new funding, we will look to other leading ecommerce platforms such as Magento, Volusion, and BigCommerce as opportunities for strategic partnerships, while deepening our offering to Shopify merchants.”

With the new funding, Vantage Analytics plans to continue to develop its data mining and predictive analytics offerings.
