Editor's Letter - January 2017

:: Planning for 'Net Success ::

New Year’s has always been a time for planning.

As 2016 fades into a distant memory, enterprises are now once again actively visualizing their future, gathering the necessary data and business intelligence, developing new operational and marketing strategies as a result, and seeking out new, innovative, efficient and effective processes and technologies for their future. Most enterprises, however, do not engage in the rigorous planning necessary to avoid being one of the 9 out of 10 startups that fail – often over-budgeting, over-staffing and over-extending only to have to let employees go, close offices and take other steps to correct their ship.

If your enterprise is planning for ’Net Success, this month’s feature article is for you. Readers can explore some key aspects of digital business planning, addressing both the strategic (acquisition and retention) and the operational (project management, analysis) sides of their enterprise to chart a course for deeper customer engagement and higher profits.

In addition to the insights shared in Website Magazine’s January 2017 feature article, readers will have access to other guidance on topics including local search engine marketing, e-commerce conversion, community building, content strategy and more, including insightful articles on how businesses can leverage artificial intelligence, view brand experiences through a customer’s point of view, tap into the rich data that on-site search provides and leveraging SMS as an alternative form of communication.

As always, we hope you enjoy this issue of Website Magazine and encourage you to join us on the ’Net where our editors and industry contributors share the technologies and insights that matter most to your Web success.

Best Web Wishes,
Peter Prestipino
