Editors Letter - December 2012

Posted on 12.16.2012

It doesn’t take a digital media maven to realize that email presents a reliable, measurable and effective means to drive visits and revenue from a website and the virtual community surrounding it. Yet despite the long list of benefits it can provide, enterprises still struggle with deliverability issues, driving interaction and seeing real-world results.

The email landscape is a complicated maze; fraught with virtual perils of all sorts, but it is one that can be successfully navigated. Web workers will be hard pressed to find a dominant site within any niche that does not in some way utilize email. Whether an Internet retailer, a digital information publisher or a Webenabled service provider, email is an effective way to accelerate your success.

Website Magazine’s feature article this month addresses the important role that email marketing plays in the success of a Web enterprise — offering up an insightful look into how mobile (and design) is changing the email experience; how integrations are improving it; and how, by focusing on important email key performance indicators (KPIs), it is possible to work more efficiently and effectively for the benefit of your enterprise.

In the December 2012 issue, readers will also find practical information and experience-driven guidance on a variety of topics to accelerate their digital success. Topics range from offer testing in paid search campaigns to the art and science of social media scheduling, as well as the current trend of parallax website design. There’s also numerous other valuable items within this issue covering international hosting, white-label software, content marketing, e-commerce usability, tips on how to gain local Web authority and a whole lot more.

Enjoy this issue of Website Magazine and make sure to visit us on the Web at www.WebsiteMagazine.com to experience our new channel-based format covering all of the topics that Web workers need to achieve digital success.
