Effectively Advertising on Tablets
Research conducted by mobile ad network Greystripe suggests that bold images and video are the best methods for advertisers to connect with tablet users. More than 20 percent of iPad users are engaging with video ads or pictorial ads on Greystripe’s mobile platform, and video is proving to be a more popular choice than static images.
Engagement rates are even higher, Greystipe says, when consumers can select which images to click or what videos to view. This data supports a recent Nielsen report that found U.S. mobile video consumption has climbed 40 percent in the last year, and both are important finds as the iPad2 and numerous Android devices will significantly increase the number of tablet users this year.
