Emotion Recognition & Big Data Video Analytics

Posted on 10.31.2013

What impact do your videos have on your audience and how does that change by demographic? A new technology from artificial intelligence company Eyeris aims to provide a more reliable way for marketers to find out and forecast a video's success.

The EmoVu product from Eyeris is an emotion recognition software designed for use with webcams. The software recognizes a variety of micro-expressions and mood indicators, collecting data so it can be analyzed by marketers and advertisers. EmoVu, which can be integrated into surveys and other data collection methods, also allows brands and advertisers to map their big data video analytics on a second-by-second basis.

Before you ask, Eyeris does satisfy federal privacy laws as viewers must grant permission for the software to turn on their cameras before a video is presented. Check out a presentation by Eyeris CEO and founder JR Alaoui and his team at the recent Demo Conference to see the product in action.
