Another Alternative Payment Solution
There are few articles we have published which generated the positive and
negative attention that the alternative payment solutions article from our
recent November issue did. There are a few reasons for the reaction I suppose.
First, every solution outside of PayPal (and some might even say Google Checkout)
are fighting for slivers of the alternative payment market. Second, it's about
as cutthroat a business as you can find online - anytime handling money comes
into play this is usually the case (we're not selling baby blankets here folks).
I received an email from a reader about another alternative payment solution which sounds interesting. ETELCHARGE is an offering which lets merchants charge approved products and services to customers phone bill. It is actually pretty simple in implementation. Users go online to shop and when they are ready to checkout, they can pay directly with the etelcharge payment system. ETELCHARGE believes its core value lies in its secure payment transaction technology, but what is most unique in my opinion is that it is the first payment application to leverage the convergence of landline telephony with broadband.
