Everybody (Still) Loves iOS - 'Net Briefs
Despite the fact that 2012 saw a significant increase in the number of available Android devices, Apple’s iOS mobile operating system still powers a larger number of mobile Web browsers than its rival. This according to a report released toward the end of 2012 by mobile advertising network Chitika, which also compared traffic impressions from iOS and Android hardware. Chitika found that Apple products accounted for a 67 percent share of mobile browsers in Nov. 2012, which is actually up 2 percent from May 2012. The margin was closest just after the release of the Samsung Galaxy S II and, notably, before Apple’s iPhone 5 and iPad Mini launch (end of Aug. 2012).
