Facebook Conceal and Cryptographic Code

Facebook engineers have released an open-source tool that automates some of the more arduous elements in producing secure cryptographic code.

Its new code library, dubbed Conceal, provides Facebook developers a set of programming interfaces (Java API's) for storing sensitive application data on Android smartphones' SD cards in order to improve performance in general.

Caching and storage are challenging for mobile developers because they impact performance and data usage so greatly on mobile devices. Facebook's Conceal was created to be smaller and faster than existing Java crypto libraries on Android while using memory more responsibly.
