Feedly Unveils Shared Collections
Popular news aggregator tool Feedly has unveiled a new feature for its Pro offering, dubbed Shared Collections.
With Shared Collections, users can choose to share what they read with their teammates, colleagues and other groups of people. In fact, the tool enables users to take the collections of reading sources that they have already created and make them public on one Shared Collections page. Moreover, users can create a whole new collection for the sole purpose of sharing.
The Shared Collection page showcases all of the blogs, publications, YouTube feeds and Google News Alerts the user wants to feature, and makes it simple for other people to follow the same sources with just a click. Plus, users can create a personalized URL for their Shared Collections page. It is important to note that users must opt-in to leverage Shared Collections, as all collections are private by default.
In its announcement, Feedly offers a variety of ways Shared Collections can be leveraged, including to help colleagues follow the same news sources, to organize social media curation efforts and to make it easy to promote a company’s thought leadership by putting all employee blogs and social media in one branded page.
“Take that Shared Collections page and use it to collaborate with others or to show the world what feeds your mind,” Feedly said in its announcement. “You can even customize it to fit your company’s identity or your personal brand.”
