Fewer Abandoned Carts via Pay with Amazon?

Posted on 11.04.2015

Consumers are increasingly becoming comfortable with the idea of using one solution (e.g. Apple Pay, PayPal, etc.) to check out across the Web.

The benefits include speeding up the payment process and improving security (as a person's credit card and other billing information is stored by one provider rather than every shop they've done business with across the Web). Amazon is no stranger to making the checkout process as easy as possible with its one-click checkout.

The e-commerce giant has now partnered with Volusion, an e-commerce platform for small and medium-sized businesses, to allow Amazon customers to "Pay with Amazon" across Volusion merchant stores.

Similar to the previously mentioned services, shoppers can log into their Amazon accounts and complete their purchases with other stores using stored payment and shipping info. Volusion expects this streamlined checkout experience to result in fewer abandoned carts for retailers.
