Flat-Rate Photo, File Storage at Amazon

Posted on 3.26.2015

Amazon is now offering unlimited storage for photos and files, adding two new storage tiers for its Cloud Drive customers.

Prime members and Fire device owners already have unlimited photo storage included with their accounts, but now anyone can upload an ‘infinite’ amount of photos for $11.99 per year with the Unlimited Photos Plan from Amazon Cloud Drive. For files, you get 5 GB, which means this plan is only really useful if you primarily use the cloud to save your old pictures.

For the greatest file hoarders, there’s the Unlimited Everything Plan, which is also just what it sounds like – store anything you can upload for $59.99 per year. It’s a lot more out of your wallet, but still reasonable. For comparison, Dropbox’s 1TB Pro plan costs $99 per year.

If you want to try it out, Amazon is offering a free 3-month trial to either plan at amazon.com/clouddrive. If you’re already using Cloud Drive, you can upgrade from your settings page.
