Get Paid: Salary Guide for Digital Creatives

The current hiring rate in the marketing/technology realm has never been greater. While there's always the looming threat of automation replacing many positions within the industry, as it stands now there's plenty of work to go around and companies are increasingly willing to pay a premium for premium talent.

Staffing agency Onward Search, which provides services for those in digital, creative and marketing positions, released its 2018 Salary Guide recently and it shows that salaries have risen an average of 3.5 percent across many industries and professions over the previous year. That's good and bad news for businesses looking for talent.

“The hiring environment for digital, creative and marketing talent is more competitive than ever,” stated Ken Clark, CEO of Onward Search. “Understanding the salary landscape can help you plan and budget to scale your teams and craft viable offers to secure the best talent.”

The report is useful for job seekers too as it provides salary data for various digital specialties, from content and copywriting to development and tech. The data is shown as a national average (including percentiles) but Onward Search did offer up some 'multipliers' which can be used to get a more accurate insight into salary for specific geographic locations.
