Mobile advertising platform Smaato just released their Global Trends in Mobile Programmatic report for the first half of 2015 and it identifies the trends and practices occurring among the company's base of publishers, advertisers and users - serving upwards of 6 billion ads per day and to 600 million mobile users around the world each month.

Highlights from the study, which can be accessed here, include:

+ Larger ad size are increasing in popularity especially in developing markets.
+ Mobile web usage now comprises 38 percent of advertising spend.
+ Publishers/developers using rich media are making 83 percent more than those who don't.
+ Advertisers will pay nearly 4 times as much to target someone by age/gender.
+ Ad spending targeting at families and parents increased 300 percent in the past six months.
