GoDaddy is On-Call for WordPress Help

Posted on 8.01.2017
With so many acquisitions going unfulfilled across the tech industry, it can be rewarding to spot use of software or services that were picked up through acquisition.

More than a game of "I Spy," fulfilled tech deals can greatly benefit end-users like GoDaddy's Dec. 2016 pickup of WP Curve, which Website Magazine covered in 2013. Back then, the subscription-based WordPress support company offered unlimited support for small fixes that took less than 30 minutes to resolve.

Fast forward four years and GoDaddy has announced WP Premium Support, a new customer support option that will give small businesses and individuals the ability to contact one of over 40 on-call WordPress developers along with GoDaddy’s 24x7x365 customer support team whenever they need help managing and optimizing their websites. GoDaddy confirmed to Website Magazine this is the result of the WP Curve acquisition. While the services are similar, WP Premium Support monthly packages come with a pre-set number of "credits" with plans ranging from $79.99 a month to $149.99 a month.

Here's a catalog of WordPress services WP Premium Support can help with, and we've included a few examples below:
  • Install, activate or update a theme
  • Install a plugin
  • Troubleshoot and fix WordPress theme errors
  • Install a comment system
  • Fix WordPress database connection strings
  • Check Google indexing
  • Add a favicon
