Google Brings In-App Content to iOS Search Results

Posted on 6.09.2015

With countless apps in every marketplace, developers are constantly looking for ways to have their app cross users' eyes.

Google has recently announced the rollout of a new feature for their iOS app which enables developers to have their apps indexed in order to have in-app content from them appear in search results.

Similar to how its Android app works, the new feature in Google’s iOS app will take users directly into the app, if they have it downloaded, or it will take them into that App Store where they can then download it. Also, Google has made it easier for users to discover new apps in Google search by displaying relevant apps in search results when users query things akin to “word games” and the like.

It is important to note that in order for in-app content to appear in search results users must either be using the Google app or in Chrome for iPhone and iPad.
