Google Expands Knowledge Graph

Google is expanding the functionality of Knowledge Graph to help search users better choose the correct results for their queries.

This update will be available on for desktop searches and will help search users learn more about the websites that appear in the search result pages. According to Google, users simply need to click on the name next to a search result link to learn more about that website (see image below).

"You'll see this extra information when a site is widely recognized as notable online, when there is enough information to show or when the content may be handy for you," The official Google Search blog states. "The information you'll see is based on the Knowledge Graph, Google's interconnected understanding of the things that exist in the world. As we expand the Knowledge Graph, we expect to give you more information about more websites - making it easier for you to choose the right result."
