Google Expands Mobile Flash Warnings
Google webmaster trends analysis Pierre Far is giving website developers a heads-up, announcing that Google is expanding its Flash warning alerts in the mobile search engine result pages (SERPs).
Google initially rolled out the Flash warning snippets for English search results in the U.S. back in July. Essentially, the warnings let searchers know when the search engine detects pages that may not work with their devices (see image below). Now the snippets will be made available in mobile search results across the globe. This gives developers one more reason to create sites that use technologies supported by mobile devices, such as HTML5/CSS/JavaScript.
“Starting today, we'll start showing a localized version of this snippet for Spanish searches on google.es, Japanese queries on google.co.jp, and English queries ongoogle.co.uk,” said Far.
