Google PPA Goes Global

Posted on 6.20.2007
Google launched a limited test of Pay Per Action advertising back in March of this year but they will now be expanding that beta product globally. According to the official release from Google:

Starting today, advertisers in the beta will see an alert in their AdWords account informing them that they can now create pay-per-action campaigns. Going forward, advertisers who have enabled AdWords conversion tracking and received more than 500 conversions from their CPC and CPM-based campaigns in the past 30 days will be automatically added to the beta on a rolling basis.

Google Pay Per Action is a new pricing model available to advertisers to specify a dollar amount they would like to offer publishers for actual conversions (e.g. sales, leads, etc.). Advertisers pay only for these completed conversions, and not on a CPC (cost-per-click) or CPM (cost-per-thousand-impressions) basis.
