Google Kills the Password with SlickLogin Acquisition
Google has acquired security startup SlickLogin, a solution that enables smartphone owners to log in to ther PCs via an inaudible, high-frequency sound.
SlickLogin launched just a few months ago and is not even available to the general public. Google will likely use the technology within Android Google accounts, possibily as another two-step verification method.
SlickLogin's biggest problem is that users are unable to log into their account when a smartphone is out of power.
