Google Now Suggesting Stories in Google News
With countless news sources available, many Internet users choose to leverage a news aggregation site like Google News to get the news they are looking for and to get a comprehensive view of what is going on in the world.
In a recent Google+ post by Krishna Bharat, the creator of Google News, Bharat announced that users will now see a “Suggested for you” section with stories that are meant to parallel the user’s interest.
Since its inception, Google News has become a valuable asset for information publishers looking to expand their reach. With this new feature, information publishers will now have their articles automatically suggested to users that have previously shown interest in a similar subject in the past.

To set interests on Google News, the “Suggested for you” section ask users whether or not they are interested in a certain subject. If they click yes, they are then recommended stories on that topic and if not the topic is automatically removed. Users can unsubscribe to a topic they previously stated they had interest in by clicking the “not interested” button under each suggested post.
