Google Purchases Apple-Only Prototyping App Form

Posted on 11.19.2014

In order to take an app from inception to fruition there are numerous steps that developers must carefully take.

One of the many steps is testing and prototyping.

RelativeWave, maker of the interactive design and prototyping app Form, has announced that they have been acquired by Google.

Once Form is downloaded, it is able to access all of the devices sensors so no matter what the function of the app is supposed to be Form will be able to keep up. Also, users will not be limited to viewing their app on a single device. Form users are able to run their prototypes on multiple devices in real-time with updates automatically syncing without having to restart the application.

“I speak for the team when I say that we're incredibly humbled by what the community has created with Form. We've seen people create designs that we could have never imagined,” said Max Weisel, president of RelativeWave, in the company’s announcement on their website. “It's one of the best feelings in the world to see people using your work.”

Form (currently free to download) is only available in the Mac App Store.
