Google Requests Some Webmasters Re-Verify Listings in Google Places
Numerous webmasters have received an email from Google requesting they review and confirm information in their Google Places account.
Google already provides the ability for webmasters to manually verify their Google maps and Google+ Local listings, but recent changes to the Google Places ecosystem (and recent high-profile gaffes related to incorrect data being shown) may be spurring this latest round of email notifications.
Jade Wang, the Google Business Community manager, did not indicate how many webmasters might have received the re-verification notification, but those that did receive it must verify their listings by Feb. 21, 2014. Hey, that's just a few weeks away!
Did you happen to receive one of these request to re-verify your listing?
