Having Trouble Moving Past Your Legacy Systems?

Posted on 3.11.2015

With new technologies coming out every day enterprises will inevitably face the difficult challenge of upgrading their systems.

OpenLegacy, a standards-based open source development platform, has announced the global rollout of its open source platform designed to help enterprises integrate their legacy IT systems.

For those not familiar, legacy systems are old technologies, computers, applications or methods that are part of an outdated computer system. Through the subscription based service enterprises are able to parse out their old legacy systems, without having to make any changes, in which the output can be automatically transformed into Web, mobile and cloud applications.

“Reliable legacy solutions such as mainframes and IBM System i – formerly known as AS/400 – are here to stay; they process billions of critical transactions per day, such as credit cards and bank transfers,” said Romi Stein, OpenLegacy’s CEO and co-founder. “The challenge is to help the ‘grandaddy of all IT systems’ be compatible with today’s requirements for mobile, Web and cloud integration, and this is where OpenLegacy fits in.”
